Hi, Can someone advise me. When doing postwork, and you want to create water, which is better - The Flood Plugin ($20) for Photoshop by FlamingPear.com or Aurora (in MP here)($129). i only used Flood once (before the time limit of 20 days was up and it will only work if i register) and didn't get a chance to use it other than create a straight plane of realistic looking water (I've attached the image that I used Flood in). However, Aurora seems to be able to create bits of water here and there - plus it can create skies. The price is heavy though. Which plugins are people using? i try not to use volumetric weather props on my machine like water, snow, fog and choose postwork instead especially when there is alot in the picture and the render takes forever. Thanks.

I use Flood all the time... it reflects the render better, IMO, and creates all sorts of waves.

I've never tried Aurora, I generally use Flood.

Aurora is actually quite good and does more, as you point out...it does skies and fog, too. I believe Aurora also has a demo...you might want to try it out. I've used both and like each, for water, for different reasons. Cris

Thanks sparrowheart :-) It was inspired by the wonderful Avalon barge created by Transpond (judith) that is free at RDNA.

Here's a link to some plugins, one of which is called 'Puddle'. It creates rippled reflections and it's free.

The Almethera plugins may work better with PSP. I seem to remember having some problems with them in PS7. Emily
