Re Interlok: There doesn't seem to be anyway of removing EVERYTHING related to Interlok - even Interlok's own Install/Uninstall won't remove all the Registy entries for example. And they can't simply be removed manaully either as they are protected. So while the Interlok code appears to be rendered non-functioning, and not executing, some legacy of it's presence will remain until your next FDISK it seems - the price of "copy-protection" software.

There is a tool called RegCleaner available in english and german and this neat li'l proggie removes the InterLok thingies from the registry completely. It's free and you can get it when you click the attached link. Hubby cleaned the registry with it because I couldn't remove some of the InterLok entries manually either. Hope this helps :-)Every

I removed it and it didn't touch anything from my Poser 4. Don't know about the interlock though. Don't get upset but who are the Buckeyes? lol<<< Thanks, Marque. The Buckeyes? The Ohio State Buckeyes. They just defeated the supposedly unbeatable Miami Hurricanes for the National Collegiate Football Championship in a double overtime game that has to be one of the greatest college football games I've ever seen. Again, thanks for the feedback. Take care and be well. casamerica
Turtle, layingback and Puntomaus, Thanx for the feedback and the advice. I hate it when programs leave little "cyber-turds" all over the place when you've supposedly "removed" their programs. I think I've used regcleaner before. I'll look into that also. Again, thanx folks. I appreciate it. Take care and be well. casamerica

I am preparing to remove Poser 5 from my system. I have a functioning Poser 4 installation on this system that I would like to keep functional. Will the Poser 5 uninstall remove any shared files that Poser 4 needs to operate? Any shared .dlls or the like I should be aware of? The last thing I need is for the uninstall of Poser 5 to muck up Poser 4s ability to work. I have them installed in two completely separate directories and did not install Poser 5 over Poser 4. I am concerned about any shared files I may not be aware of. Also, will this uninstall remove all the Interlock residue from the system or should I prep for surgery? ;-) Any help, advice or tips would be appreciated. Take care and be well. casamerica CONGRATS TO THE BUCKEYES! CONGRATS TO THE BUCKEYES!
