c1rcle ( ) posted Sun, 05 January 2003 at 5:28 AM

I created a thumbnail that was 91 width by 178 height, but who knows how large you can go?

TT ( ) posted Sun, 05 January 2003 at 10:32 AM

Do this work in standard P4 .rsrs? I dont see any new created (91x91)pngs right now in my P3DO Explorer, installed Xp pro on my new machine couple weeks ago, I do my pngs in PS 7, any suggestions to get them to show in P3DO Explorer?

Sorry TT it only works for Poserpro & Poser5, Poser4 is limited to rsr thumbnails at 91x91.

creativechaos ( ) posted Sun, 05 January 2003 at 2:29 PM

I don't know about that. I've had rsr's come up larger than 91x91. A few things I got from BAT came in at 91 wide and a lot longer. Not sure how he created the rsr for those, but it sure happened.

Well, in fact P4 is not limited to 91x91 pictures. I did some mistake while working on Rsr and I was able to display taller and wider pictures even in P4. I didn't went further - as it was a mistake - and I'm not quite sure of the overall behavior of Poser. The reason why I crop the size to 91x91 is that it was P4 Poser dimension and as the converter is supposed to work with .rsr it just can't deal with larger pictures. Now that PPP and P5 allow greater images I can remove the control and we'll see what happens...

ooh that reminds me yarp, I'm sure this has come up before but Ad-Aware seems to think P3doExplorer is a trojan called ClicktillUWin. I realise it's not but is there anything that can be done to remove it from their list of undesirables?

yarp ( ) posted Mon, 06 January 2003 at 9:41 AM

Yep, I've been told that 2 month ago. I mailed them - rather abruptly I must say - but I had no answer ;) Lilwolf also tried to inform them cause she's a member in their forum. That kind of campaign can be rather annoying for P3dO and for you I presume, I don't know how to get rid of it. Can you give me the URl of ad-ware so that I try to get an answer ?

Attached Link: http://www.lavasoft.nu

sure can :) I got it from www.lavasoft.nu, it's not that annoying I just have to remember to tell Ad-Aware to ignore it everytime you release a new version or it gets deleted. They last updated their reference list on 24/09/02 which is the one I'm using.

yarp ( ) posted Mon, 06 January 2003 at 10:37 AM

Yep, Lavasoft. That's it, I'm not at home there. Thanks I'll send them a mail immediately. Few hopes ;(

Here a copy of the mail I just sent them. Alea jacta Est. Hi, I'm the author of a freeware image browser used since 3 years in the Poser community. My program is referenced by you as a trojan host, the torjan is called ClicktillUWin as some people in the community told me. Everybody in there is convinced that it is untrue as they know my soft for years. As well as the auhtor I also know it is not true. But your report could damage the reputation of my soft among newbies and among the freeware community as well. My software (P3dO Explorer) is there: http://www.senosoft.com/downloads/P3dOExplorer16.zip And easy to find on freeware sites. Try it and you'll see it is not and it has never been what you said it was. It is a genuine freeware product and you are ruining my work. You can also go to the Poser community main forum (http://www.renderosity.com) and them what they think of P3dO and if they see any link between it and any ad-ware program. It's a vast forum with thousands hits per hour, it is not my personnal home. I already sent you a mail 2 months ago on the same subject and got no answer. As this soft is severall yars efforts for me and as you charged P3dO I think you could at least take some time to give me an answer. You can obviously consider I'm really angry against you. I know everybody can make a mistake and P3dO could have been reported as a spyware but you should have give me an answer and help me solve the problem. Thank you for taking care of P3dO. my personnal mail is yarp@senosoft.com
