Rather than me going out and plucking some innocent bird,can anyone direct me to some high quality feather textures? I have have tried the renderosity freebies and other 3d sites,they are low quality and mainly in Paintshop Pro.I need them for photoshop ie psd,tiff,jpg etc. and preferably mixed colours.Any suggestions would be appreciated.arrow1

For delicate and detailed things life feathers,lace etc...I found the best thing is to do your own scanes.Flatbed scanners are very good and cheap nowdays.Your local arts&crafts store(or material store),usally have feathers by the bag full. SWAMP

There is a site out there that supplies wonderful feathers of all kinds, some with photoshop layers. I'm looking for the web link but my folder is labeled FeathersFyrenne. Maybe someone knows whaere that lin is. I'll continue to look but they are really nice.

I just downloaded some feathers from here. Didn't use them yet (just got them last night). They are in PSD format. They don't have a readme in the zips but they are in the free stuff area. I started looking at the Most Wanted free stuff and several pages deep they they were. There are about 6000 items here in the free stuff section they were ranked from 1000 to 1500. I know 500 items are alot to look through, but I searched the web and only found about five good picts.

Thanks herr67 for your excellent tracking. I just went to freestuff and typed in feathers in the search. I found the link I used. The artist is Fyrene. their freestuff link is http://www.renderosity.com/freestuff.ez?Form.Contrib=Fyrene&Topsectionid=0 Fyrene's feathers are wonderful. Hope this helps you.
