Subject: A question about giving credit on renders.

Hello,

I have a question about giving credit on renders.

If a merchant has a store, but also donates things in the free section, should one write it in the drop down box with the link next to the name ( the one that goes to his or her store) or right it on top and say it was from free section?

Do any of the merchant out there who make free items have a preference please?

Thanks in advance.

Warm Regards,

I dont mind if you give credit or don't Nancy, I always love seeing it but I have no preference either way. Although I personally though hate the way the Credit Drop down works and wish they'd change it..

I don't really mind either, so I'm with Dave71. Yeah, it's nice to see, but isn't completely necessary :o). Laurie

It's alwayz a nice pat on the back and of course free advertising in nice too LOL. Personally I only credit the freestuff, unless someone specifically asks about something I've used. I figure it this way. With the freestuff my "payment" is the little pat on the back and the a credit line...least I can do. With the stuff I've bought, well I've already paid for that, unless I REALLY impressed with the product then I'll plug it. Far as the credit drop downs, not a big fan. IMHO Jon

I agree Jon with you in that once I've purchased a product it is sometimes tiresome to list the credits for the product. Free stuff is a different matter, and then of course if one is doing a promo render then it is a different story all together. I think would would make the credit drop down menu work better is if it would access the data base of products by the different vendors. But what a database nightmare setup that would be!

I tend to put credits as free or not available here in the text of the caption area. and the vendors in thier vendor slots whether free of bought.

Any time I see in the readme or license "you MUST credit me in any renders" I bin it plain & simple. It's my choice whether I credit or not, most times I do if I can remember who made the things I use.

Just ignore it, c1rcle.

lol I hardly ever keep readme's installed so it's hard to remember who asked for what or who made the stuff I use anyway.
