Its been maddening for me. the Poser folders were not in alphabetical order. untill today I went in with Win Explorer and started sorting and compacting all my props, characters ,poses And noticed that some of the names have punctuation in front of the names deleted the punctuation and some were still out of order in Poser. looks like Capital letters make a difference in poser folders to. In the Explorer they were in the right order again sorry if this is redundant or I should have know this long time ago DUH!

Well I hope that your files work after you changed them around....Poser can be really funny about the names of the original files even the ones with punctuation in front them. Sharen

wtsmith,Yes capital letters, spaces, etc. make a difference to Poser..but I use that to my advantage. I use punctuation marks at the begining of the file names to group them togeather...like all hair matt files have the % sign in front of them,so now all my hair files are clustered togeather(regardeless of the name). If you use Vicky 3,you'll see that is what Daz did to group all her pose files togeather(I'm thinking about legal action agaisnt Daz for stealing my idea..he he). It's a real PTA to do all of this, but once done,it makes finding things so much easier. SWAMP

I think they are sorted in ASCII order within Poser, which means lower case letters are all after caps. So, Poser will sort A-Z, then a-z, with whatever characters come before/after/in between in their relevant ASCII places.

If you have V3 and removed the ! from in front of the main DAZ folder, you will be in trouble when you try to inject morphs.

daverj,Yea,I think I read you should not do that, but what I did was add the uppercase space (the_ sign)in front of the !. What that does is put all those files down at the bottom of your(very long)list of folders, and they still function as they should. Nice because without doing so..as soon as you open the pose library, your looking at nothing but a long list of Vic3 stuff. That's just one more idea Daz stole...this time from merchants who just love to put the ! on their items so their always at the top. SWAMP!!???__###

Changing the "!V3 ..." folder names (or locations in P5) will only affect you if you use the AllMorphsInj or AllMorphsRem files. If you have a bit of patience (or a batch text replace program), you can easily fix the files so the referenced morphs load properly. There's a post a few weeks back where it explains how to do it. I changed the names and locations and haven't had any problems after I changed the file references. Cheers!

I think with Daz not too worried about handing Vic3 over to us with a zillion file folders says one thing....Daz Studio is golng to have a really nice library system. SWAMP
