Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 4:12 am)
Thanks for the help. gebe,Should you be able to import with the Demo? How striped down is the demo version compaired to the full version? All I'm trying to do here is to get a feel of what Vue will or will not do for me.After makeing a costly mistake of buying Poser 5(and still to this day doesn't work very well),I promised myself to never spend money on softwear I don't try out. I've gone over alot of the forum post here, and most people rave about how good Vue is,but I did see a few post of some issues about the Poser import.I had to purchase Poser4/Propack,at full price as there is no discount for backgrading and now CuriousLabs days look very numbered,so I won't be getting any Poser to Vue support from them. I spend alot of time looking in the Vue gallery, and people in there(like lynwhite)that use Poser and Vue togeather, just blow me away.
The demo of Vue, as all demos, is limited. You cannot save your scene and probably not import anything.
Vue 4, updated to 4.11 works great with Poser 4 pz3 files. (without any problem on PC, problems exists sometimes with Mac only).
Poser 4 Pz3 import with all the maps, bums and transparencies. Metalic objects should be remapped in Vue, as Vue has real metal and doesn't need "reflection maps".
Vue users who have not updated to 4.11 should not wonder, if there are some "bugs".
Here, at this forum, you will always get support for Vue and also for Poser to Vue. Here are many users who have both and there is always somebody who can and will answer to any problem you may have as a beginner. And what cannot be resolved immediately, we all help to search how to make you happy and your things work:-). And e-onsoftware, the makers of Vue, are reading regulary our messages too.
You will never regret if you buy Vue, because it is just great to create landscapes (the vegetations), interiors and all kind of fantasy scenes.
If you have other questions before you decide to buy, just ask. We will answer:-. You're very welcome here.

I'm thinking of buying Vue d'Esprit, but want to try the demo first. One of the biggest reasons for me is being able to import my Poser4 files.A good friend of mine that uses Vue and Poser, said he had a problem with the Pz3 import, untill he installed the most current patch or upgrade.I went to the E-on site and see you have to be registered user to get that patch. My question is,after I download the Demo, will I be able to download the patch afterward if I do incounter the same problem that my friend had? Or is the patch already in the Demo perhaps?Wanted to see what I should do first before I download anything. Thanks for any advice you can give me.
