Hi Circle- yes- that's just one of the things EC2 can do. I wanted this in version 1, 8 months back, but didn't have the experience then to make this a bug-free module. You can do it automated- just load an image, and either create a Light Environment instantly, or save as a universal set for use in other EC modules (ok- universal EC2 only :-) ). But it gets only REALLY interesting when you do it interactively -just like real life. Which is why this module has a SnapShot feature like the others- history lists you can save, paste, delete etcetera. This means you load an image, do things with the interactivity feature, and write each interesting result in a SnapShot (each of which you can give a name, so you know what they hold, rather practical that); and at the end of the session, you can save all your SnapShots to a file. - so you can continue from a given point at ANY time. There's a lot more besides, but I think this more or less answers your question :-) Happy rendering, Paul ChristiaanThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Hello everybody,
this is to let anyone interested know that Version 2 of the Environment Creators will very soon (next week or so) be released by DAZ, working under both Poser 4 and Poser 5.
Many of you were kind enough to mail me your suggestions for EC during the past 8 months, and I'm very proud to tell you most of it is now in there- and that, after much HARD (but deeply interesting) work :-), the whole thing finally works like a dream.
just a few highlites:
EC now reads photographs as well, creating Light Environments from the image, as well as being able to create Light Environments interactively in the old manual way- but that manual way has this time a few extra's up it's sleeve, naturally -;
all screen management code has been totally rewritten; under Windows, you can now manage EC via the standard Windows taskbar;
all algorithms have been totally rewritten to get an even more natural feel;
there is an extensive online help now, all the time right where you want it -next to EC itself if you need;
memory management has been overhauled- EC II works with SnapShot Lists that are totally flexible;
there is a SunDial to set the time of Day - or Night - by the minute, and choose the season; AND you can define your own seasons in as much detail as you want-
well, I could go on for a bit, but ok, you get the picture. The code for Poser 5 differs totally from that for Poser 4, by the way.
Great program, that Poser 5, but WEIRD.. Anyway, as I promised: EC II is here, both for Poser 4 and 5.
There is an upgrade for existing users, Poser 4 only; new users can choose between Poser 4 or Poser 5 versions. Mac release (upgrade and new users) will be simultaneous with Windows.
Yours,
Paul Christiaan
