Earlier today I posted my latest pic which included some text I wrote commenting on the situation dipicted (magical sexual transformation.) It seemed that many here took offense to my pic and requested (politely) that I delete it and move it to Renderotica. In response to their requests I have done exactly that. I think it is a sorry commentary on our society that I should have to do this but there you are. The image (without text) is posted in the Gallery. Err thats why we have the Renderotica site. Not in my opinion a sorry commentary on society, more a community exercising responsibility. Possibly the site, and its objectives should be more plainly seen... whatever. My personal thanks for your re-posting to that gallery.

Well, I already sent this in response to Chrisa's rather erm... lacking in understanding email, but I am going to quote it here. I would like to say, I am one of the LOUDEST and most outspoke for the right of our female models to have genitalia included by Zygote. I occasionally visit Renderotica, and enjoy sensual art as much as anyone. However, I am a mother of a son who is at a vulnerable age where sexual identity is only now forming, where he needs to learn NORMAL things before he gets too far down the road of out of the ordinary things. And one more thought. It is NOT nudity. That is not the issue. I had nude models in my art classes at the age of 15. It is things that may sexually confuse or scare a child. That is all.

Officially, nudity is allowed, sexual material in the galleries is not. Renderotica was made so that everyone was happy. People who want to see and post erotic images can do so without fear of censorship and reprisals and those that care not to see such images and materials don't have to.

Chrisa, Quit whining. You have a forum (Renderotica) to display your uncensored image, and that's where it lives at the moment. The only "sad commentary" is that you didn't take the time to do your homework i.e. find out where it should have been posted in the first place.

Chrisa, I'm sorry you feel this way but I don't think this has anything to do with liberation or giving offense. When I go grocery shopping I do not expect to have to wade through electronics goods. Likewise when I'm looking for a book I do not need to be distracted by clothing. Uncontrolled freedom is not freedom- it is mere chaos. I do not have children nor am I easily offended. However, I see nothing wrong when people request these image forums be conducted in a manner which precludes that which they may consider an unpleasant surprise. I don't believe that anyone requested that you not post the image, just that it be posted more appropriately in an arena provided specifically for such things. Seems fair enough to me.

Chris, you KNOW how I am on the censorship issue, and have backed you up MANY times. I have to go on the community consensus this time, and say that your image does indeed belong on Renderotica other than here. Is the image pornographic? In my opinion, no. Is it erotic? Well, hell, that goes without question. Of course it is. It's not merely a nude; that's not meant as a criticism, it's more a compliment. I'm sure you MEANT it to be erotic, and you succeeded admirably. As erotica, obviously it should be at Renderotica (not just a clever name! A way of life!). I hope you don't get too upset over this, Chris. It's precisely for artists like you (and usually me, too, thanks to my penchant for depicting offensive stereotypes and cute animals and children doing terrible things or soaked in gouts of blood) that a place like Renderotica was created.

Hi Folks! Like the justice said--I know it when I see it. It's a shame that we have to revisit this issue every coupl'a months or so. I'm still a big advocate of self-regulation. I haven't even seen the image in question yet, but most of us who post here already know beforehand whether or not an image we post is going to make waves. If an artist whose content is as radical as Legume's (and I mean that as a compliment) knows the difference between what should go here and what should go Renderosity, I'll wager that everyone else does too.
