Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 1:41 pm)
Thomas, frage sind die Flammen in Animationen zu gebrauchen oder sind sie nur statisch? Mazak
Mazak: my Deutsch is terrible after 19 years, so I am not going to try to answer in it. But I can read it and will answer for you in English: The flame texture is built in Poser 4.0.3 and doesn't have an animated texture. However, the flames have many morph dials that allow you to animate the flames and make them flicker, twist, and scale, and they are posable as well. If you also can use an animated texture and trans on them you can even more impresive effects. ersetzung von Babelfish: Die Flammebeschaffenheit wird in Poser 4.0.3 errichtet und nicht eine lebhafte Beschaffenheit hat.
_dodger, Thank you I understand you well. I purchased the Dungeon Lighting Kit today, but it looks like the omnidirectional light is not compatible with Poser5. P5 SR2.1 has no crosstalk! So can't work your light proper :( . I hope for an fix in P5 SR3 maybe. Mazak
Mazak: thanks for your purchase! The bonus omnis don't work properly because the ERC breaks in P5 because the P5 crosstalk fix doesn't expect lights to be used as body parts. There are some small workarounds for this: 1) the lights that load from the self-lit props such as the torch and brazier (but not the aetheric capacitor) start out 'on' and the omnis work fine 2) if you copy over an omni CR2 you can text edit it to set the KdRed, KdBlue, and KdGreen values for all 14 lights in it -- set the keys { k } value (the second number here) and the initValue and you can load that one up as a pre-lit omni and use it this way in P5. As a note, fire orange light averages .8 red, .5 green, 0 blue. LesBentley's similar omnilight in FreeStuff starts out 'on' as white light, though it suffers the same problems. 3) if you want, you can also load up one and set all 14 lights settings in Poser, though you have to select the sub-lights from the light-ball preview.
