I'm trying to make a poser character look like it was not a poser character... I feel like working on some hard-core scenes.. with attentions to the lightings, details and ambiance.. but I'm fade up with those kind looking poser's figures.. unfortunatly poser dont allow to work on some realistics visages expresions.. I've been trying to give rage and hanger to my character.. but.. So I've imported the head mesh in Carrara and been working on it .. the result rendered in bryce is close to what I'm looking for. If you got any idea for the body.. please let me know.

The face is definitely looking better than what I've ever been able to get out of Poser alone. As for the body, heck if you just get away from their 'ideal adult' shape and the minor variations on it, you'll be doing great. If you want to go farther, I would suggest things like messing with his posture - one shoulder higher than the other or part of his body obviously weaker than the other. Bodies are usually not nicely proportioned, even if they aren't damaged. Long torsos, short legs, thick or thin necks. Extremely long fingers and toes or stubby little things that look like they won't bend. Scars are always fun. Does the way his body looks have a bearing on why he is a "bad doctor"? Lin

Cool character.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Pretty good work there pidjy. For the body, try a bit of assymetry to make it look less poser like, be it postural (as lsstrout mentions above), or muscular.

pidjy, Nice head! You can do a lot with meshes etc, but if you're gonna make something for commercial use you're gonna need your own meshes anyway. Temporarily you could put the head on a (reptoportioned) poser figure. Also you might ask on the Carrara Forum or the Modeling Forum. Travisb is trying to get some modeling going on based on Terminator 3 characters. Looks like this would fit right in. - TJ

err: reptoportioned = reproportioned

Ok pidjy, I am not insinuating ANYTHING here but.... You don't happen to play Madden 2003 on X-Box by any chance do you? There is a secret team called the Sugar Buzz that you can unlock whose face look almost EXACTLY like this, If I could do a screen capture off my TV I would post it. My son just unlocked the team today and I cracked up having seen your doctor just a few days ago....

Damn.. No I don't play Madden.; don't even got a Box.. this character is inspired from a comic book called "Ranxerox"..
