Subject: What a gal wants. New clothes!

AlleyKatArt ( ) posted Sat, 25 January 2003 at 2:10 PM · edited Wed, 18 December 2024 at 9:22 PM

Poor Vicki3! She's sitting there on my computer screen shivering half to death because no one's made much of anything for her! She's neked. She's got a few skin tight shirts and jeans and a lot of underwear... But not much else... I want clothing. Preferably free stuff. Even if someone could go about converting some Vicki or Posette clothes... What I really want, though, is a good kimono that fits V3. Isop's is great, for Posette, but it obviously doesn't fit Vicki at all, so she's stuck sitting there in her dressing room while V2 and Michael are having a party with Posette, the Dork, ET Judy and Don. This is the type of clothing I want... http://www.iz2.or.jp/english/fukusyoku/wayou/index.htm Anyone have any links that could be helpful?

Runtime DNA has a V3 top and skirt freebie. there are 5 free dresses for V3 but I dont' remember the link maybe a link in freestuff here. check the freebie sections here and at all the major poser sites. I've managed to put quite a wardrobe together for darling Vicki3. there are also threads about using The Taylor to fit clothing items, as well as new joint settings, etc to make older clothing "fit" vicki3, you'll have to search the threads, but there is a LOT out there and more coming for Vicki3. She only has to be naked in a temple if ya want her to be.

I'd rather have Mike neked in the temple. Tailor won't work with Vicki 3, still, so I can't use her morph settings in it... It's rather frustrating.

There are quite a few things for V3 if ya look around....Poserworld has a goos basic set of clothes.....but the kimono you want is very detailed and hasn't been done for Vicki so I doubt it will be done for V3 anytime soon....

I've made some V3 clothing as well. Xurge has a v3 outfit. sergemark has several dresses too.

I didn't really have a problem getting V3 to work in The Tailor. Of course it's really slooooooow.

This is V2 with the V3 Japanese head morph for testing purposes.

I can't get her to load. At all. Maybe the SR1 vicki will...

I just loaded Vicky 3 (I did use sr1) applied the morphs and saved as a test figure. You might want to try running the saved .cr2 through the Dial Cleaner, but I didn't have to. Hope some of this helps. Nether

at this point, i'd settle for "old" clothes. shoot, i would love any little v3 hand me down clothing. since all this v3 clothing nonsense looks as if it will be too hard for me to learn...i will just use my v2 clothing on v3, and, really try and work on my postwork skills. arrrgh...i hate this. v3 is so super. not being able to make my little clothing for her really sucks. could a renderosity royal smart person explain the concept of the jcms and clothing making...but, like...do it as "jcms for dummies", or something. i'll be your friend. k?

MachineClaw ( ) posted Sat, 25 January 2003 at 10:56 PM

Poppi, hahaha! yeah, jcms for dummies, they sell that at Barnes and Nobles??? Sign me up for that course, I'm lost there.

If you pick up Kattman's PWizard, then you can use the Conforming Wizard add-on which will set the jps to match V3. I'm making a top for V3, but for the male morph version, and it worked quite well.

Hi I have been able to get some V2 clothing to "work" on V3in stills at least-by adjusting the V3 body to fit with body morphs. It only seems to work well for upright standing/walking poses-but can be done for stills with patience. There are a few examples posted if you search under my name in the forum and galleries. I am on a Mac-and I don't think there is a MacTaylor-so I guess I will have to try some poser esoterica and change the joint parameters and morph the clothing until it works. BTW: I joined Steve Shanks Poserworld and have not regretted it. He has V3 clothing and is making more. Eric
