Greyscale images can be imported into bryce and applied to lattice, in the terrain editor. Black will become invisible, dark grey will appear as low terrain. The lighter the grey the higher the terrain will rise. Proper halftones will produce gradient curves in your terrain or lattice. The rose is a good example. The rose came with photoshop7. I didn't draw that. Take a look at Alvinylaya's post called, "A Little Snack". He shows the greyscales he used in the image, at the bottom. I suggest trying some text first, to get the idea how this works. Keep on keepin on, fellow Brycers.
