Subject: V3 Viking Clothing and Copyright Issue

I couldn't find any Viking Clothes For Vicki so I scanned in an image from a Magazine and heavily postworked it removing the person and inserted Victoria 3. I then proceeded to make colour changes and smoothing and Photoshop changes to the dress. 1. Is there a similar Viking type Clothes for Vicki out there? 2. Is this considered Copyright Infringement if an image is scanned and postworked on and poser character is inserted in the place of the person? Thanks

  1. By combining some elements its possible...not exact I'm sure but highlly possible...DAZ did release a "viking" freebie for victoria way back when but the skirt was a mini and the top was just breast cups...there was a hat and hair too if I remember right...The grecian gowns from DAZ could be used for the dress with propper textures...Sheild and bracers in lots of packs at DAZ...Cape might be a problem, but I'm sure some one has something similar... 2. Depends on whether or not the person who took the photo allows that type of manipulation to thier work I would guess...and how "heavilly" it was postworked...

Thanks. Just found the character pak though not a freebie anymore. The Helmet is similar but I don't think I'll use the bra :-) I might opt to paint the clothes in. The gregian clothes seems a great idea... gonna check them out. btw Has anyone seen any Viking clothes for Vicki out there ? Thanks.

If you're not in a terrible hurry, the Mike Viking is almost ready and next is the Vicky one, but most likely a Valkyrie/Viking combo. The link is just to give you an idea of the modelling and texture work to expect. Celts for Mike and Vicky will be available any day now too.

Way cool Jon ! - is it gonna be a bra type thing? or something similar to or something similar to the above - or both ? I must have missed that trend. The historical series is amazing !
