Hi all. I took this photo a little while back while out on a bike ride through one of the local trails. Can anybody guess what it is of?

I shot something that looks similar last month. I don't know if it was the same thing as what your getting at, but it melted when I touched it. Maybe the inside of the branch cracked open when it got too cold?

Yea, looks and sounds like the same stuff as what I found. I figure it's frost. I never saw it on a tree that large though.

Strange stuff. Wonder what makes it grow/form like this? I took my shot up near Squamish around the 10th of Jan.

Wow what is this waiting for it to load..... Oh! Guess what it is picture. Barbie doll in cotton wool .. NO! its frost. well thats weird never seen it like that before. Strange one, scratching head, are you sure its frost? :0)

No.. I am not absolutely sure it's frost. But that's all I can come up with. Can you prove me wrong? -When breathed upon, this stuff disappears -Temperature was just above freezing at the time
