Subject: Win Xp Pro and Poser 5 Trouble?

MaliceInSlumberland ( ) posted Sat, 01 February 2003 at 1:16 PM · edited Sun, 01 December 2024 at 9:13 AM

I recently upgraded to Win XP Pro from Windows ME. I Installed Poser 5 and the program runs exteamly lag and frequently crashes. I am all caught up on the Poser Service Packs and on the Windows XP updates. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

I wish I could give you some advice, but I believe the problem is not so much your computer as it is a poorly written program. Here's hoping they fix it.

i Have XP Pro and i installed poser 5. it crashed and froze somany times i just went back to poser pro. Its not XP. Not that im very fond of microsoft either. my boyfriend runs some high end 3d apps on this computer and has never had a problem till poser 5. its pretty sad when you have a dual processor computer with 5 gigs of ram and it crashes because of poorly writen software.Oh and if someone from Curious labs reads this yes i had all the service packs. You people need to get the bugs out so i can take my poser 5 disk out of its current retirement as a coffee cup coaster.

I have XP Pro and P5, it doesn't crash but gives me out of memory problems with large renders, same problem with Poser 4. I'm staying with Poser 4 until they get all the bugs out of P 5.

Run Poser 5 in Windows 2000 Compatibility-mode. My Poser 5 works with Xp so fine. (Sorry for my bad english)
