These are all really floor models, you know the ones you see being played when you walk into your local supermarket! At least I do...There is this lady who's payed to play this 5' harp like once a month or something in this tiny little mart near my house! It looks just like all of the harps I've been finding, curvy on one side, but then straight on the other. I'm looking for one thats curvy on both sides. Kinda like you'd see in an angels arm... = )

Oh. You're looking for a lyre, then ....

Thanks for clarifying that Little_Dragon, I was under the impression that intrument might be refered to as a harp! This model is fine, but if anyone has any other links they can find swiftly, and off the topof thier heads, please leave them here! = )

This post is for an Angel image I'm working on for thi smonths challenge. What else would an Angel hold? I can think of a box of chocolates, and roses, but then there has got to be more biblical symbols in my mind. = )

Gabriel had a trumpet/battle horn thingy. Some carry flaming swords.

it depends on who the angel was Michael= sword, shield, & armor Gabriel= trumpet Uriel= flaming sword Raphiel= a staff ending in a caduceus Raziel= scepter & key Metatron= crown & golden staff Sandalphon= harp, lute, or lyre Azrael= scroll there are more (12 archangels IIRC) but those are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head

You could try the link above. It's Jon Malis' site, and his female bard comes with a nice harp/lyre thingee.
