Subject: Conforming Clothing For V3

I need some help. I have taken a shirt made for V2 and physically conformed it to fit V3. I set the parent for the shirt to V3. But when I move my character, the clothes don't move with her. How can I lock the shirt to V3 so it will move with her? Do I need to set the parent for each clothing part? Thanks

click on your shirt...and then, hit....the object menu...conform to whatever figure your v3 is. you don't parent clothing, i don't think, unless they are smart props. however, if you don't have a conforming cr2 for your shirt, it may explode when you click the conform to button.

Mako_dap, "parenting" only locks one object spatially to another, which is different from "conforming," which matches body parts, joints, etc., so that the clothing follows, more or less, the posing of what it is conformed to. It sounds like what you did was just scale and position the V2 clothing on V3, which won't work because of different grouping of body parts, joint set-up, etc. Don't forget you can do a search in this forum for more detailed discussions :-)
