I've read P5 has multiple Runtimes. How does this work, are only certain runtimes loaded per opening of the program, is this set in Preferances somewhere. Because I love all of my Poser zips, but only have a 40 GB HD, and 700 MGHz od CPU power. As is scrolling through my Poser's Libraries takes a while. If I were to install all of my archives things would be a bit hairy. Not to say I would'nt keep them archived on a seperate drive on my network, and then load that runtime as needed though... = )

You can set up Runtime folder structures in other directories; you can even place them on other hard drives. Then you configure Poser 5's Library so it knows where to find them. After you launch Poser, you can switch to other Runtimes on-the-fly.

Jelisa has a tutorial.

I don't remember for certain, but can a Runtime be utilized from a CD?

Yes you can but as with a Lan Runtime - if you open P5 and it doesnt find the CD or the Lan Disk - It will forget that you had that runtime there (if you have remember last, anyway in preference) and next time it opens - you will have to re-add the runtime. I have a very fast lan connection and basically just me running 3 machines with 100m and it is a dog to open my PPP runtime on my old machine. I got the pboost program and it is a lot faster and doesnt eat tons of my memory to grab the PPP files over my lan.

Excellent Little Dragon, you've proven helpfull again! It seems as though P5 does'nt consolidate the Runtimes though. I would think you would want access to all loaded runtimes at once, rather than needing to switch back and forth. = )
