My latest little project.. Wrangler type jeans for Mike Wish I was better at making textures. They are somewhat modeled around the free boots available at Runtime DNA. Some where down the line I'll probably make some boots that work with these jeans better. I have a shirt in the works to go with the pants. Ed

My god, you're fast! I'm still trying to figure out how to make things work in Amapi. These look good! Are you going to package all the Mike stuff you're doing and put them up for sale? It'd be a neat set.

Those are great. I'm sure someone will do some different textures for them, but so far I think they are just fine. 8^) Marque

Only one thing I would ask for - a morph for them to be tucked into the boots. ^_^

Remember, kids! Napalm is Nature's Toothpaste!

Oh yes! Most of the pants out there put them over the boots, rather than under. It's a pain to get them in and fit right.

Remarkable!!!! :] Fish

Thanks for the comments I doubt I would even try to create a morph like Valandar is asking for. They are modeled to fit over the boots not in them. No way I could tweak this mesh enough to get them fo fit inside. I think the leg would be a total mess if I tried. I might have to look at making another pair that will fit in the boots. Since I absolutely hate pants stuffed in the top of boots it might be forever before I decide to make them :) I don't know when they will be ready. I'm working on the shirt and will probably wait until I have the shirt finished. Ed

All your work is appreciated, playing with the undies now(that didn't sound good did it) Many thanks from me

pdxjims ( ) posted Tue, 18 February 2003 at 2:57 PM

Undies? Are the undies in test? ...sigh... those are what I'm really waiting for. I'm even making the umpteenth attempt to do my own. Pjaj has a nice pair, and Steve Shanks has a great swimsuit and tight boxers, but still no real, Fruit-of-the-loom type undies...

I still need to get them to fit a bit better, but all in all they fit MM2 pretty good

Great work! I'd love to make some realistic textures for you - here is a sample of some things I have in the works - I'm specializing in realistic-looking clothing with a slightly "worn" look. - I'm tired of seeing all the "plastic" looking textures and textures where the scale of the fabric is mismatched to the scale of the garmet. keep up the great work!

Folks, as a general rule... ONLY CITY FOLK TUCK THEIR JEANS INTO THEIR BOOTS.

pdxjims ( ) posted Tue, 18 February 2003 at 5:28 PM

Well, yeah Joey. But I've got a few Urban Cowboy pics I want to do (grin). And Bikers tuck theirs in. Jim

Silverleif-Studios ( ) posted Tue, 18 February 2003 at 5:55 PM

I'm not a city folk but I found that tucking the inner side of my jeans into my boots saved wear and tear on my jeans from stirrups... When I was biking I never did bother to tuck as there wasnt much "friction" to ruin my jeans...Those that do tuck for bike riding need to fix the leak thats causing the oil to splatter on thier britches :)~ All in all its a matter of tastes..."booties" became popular for women there for a bit because we rarelly tuck and fashion kinda dictated that women should wear tight fitting clothes which are a pain in the butt to fit over standard boots

JoeyAristophanes ( ) posted Tue, 18 February 2003 at 6:29 PM

Well, if you have to..... The easiest way is to turn off the feet sections of the jeans and then taper the shin sections to about 80%. It works on the P4 jeans; should work here.
