THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Has anyone ever noticed this?

I've been working on a texture-library to sell in the marketplace and I've now got somewhere around 100 textures, but now I noticed that some of the texturesettings aren't saved correctly. Somehow most of the textures have a frequency of 36 in all 4 channels. This basically makes most textures completely different or even useless. I've remade some of the textures, but the problem seems to come back. Does anyone know why this happens and how I can solve or work around that problem?

This sounds like it could be a bug. Does the texture change as soon as it's saved to the library? In other words if you save it to the library then create a new object and apply it, is it messed up. Or does the mess up come after Bryce is shut down then launched again. If the mess up comes after Bryce is shut down, then launched, try exporting the material, before Bryce is shut down, and see if it imports ok. This kind of sounds like the sky lab soft shadow bug, you turn it on, it turns itself off, or you turn it off, and it turns itself back on. Basically it sounds like some of the material properties are converting back to a previous state.

The textures where changed after saving them. As long as I selected them they worked fine. Even in the little preview-window in the library they looked like they should, but as soon as I check the "v" and go into the texture editor the texture changes. All this happened both before I shut bryce down and after I restarted it. Can I just kiss my 100 textures and many hours of work goodbye?
