I've been working on my cartoon-style street. I think it's beginning to look like something now. There's a larger version (1600x1200 pixels) for download at the link. Suggestions are always welcome. I'm still going to do lot's of modelling... Stay tooned for more.

I like it alot. It looks like it'll be a hell of a lot better than my attempt at a cartoon atmosphere. If you want you can check it out at the attached link!! Be sure to post the final image in this forum, I'll be waiting.

It makes me want to run get my 72pack of Crayolas. Do I have to stay inside the lines? It reminds me of the old Chuck Jones cartoon where they run past a sign that says "color ends here" into the black and white section. Great work!

I've never seen this type of effect in Bryce before Rayraz. What kind of settings are we talking about here? I think you are both doing great work and I'd love to learn more about the techniques involved. Catlin

I make the models like you would do normally and then I model the edges around them using cilinders and spheres. you could also use boxes, but they give sharper edges. The brick-detail on the walls is done with a simple black-and-white texture and a procedural bumpmap. The roof is done with booleaned cilinders and the trees have custom textures. The curtains are simple terrains with a 2D-texture applied for the flowers&butterflies print. Basiccally it's just modelling the rough details and drawing the fine details with the help of textures.
