Hello everybody,

I have this question, I've tried my hand at making textures and i love to do it, the only thing is i wonder where to get photos from that are not copyrighted or is the only way to get photos taking them yourself?

I'm really not sure if i can get someone to pose for me naked. LOL

How do you do that?

you might try asking in the photography forum, they probably have links. Or just search for free photos on the web. There are plenty of sites out there. If you find some with photos of human skin on it, please let me know! Shanna :-)

I've tried a net search but all i got were photos of skin diseases. Those would make interesting textures i guess. LOL. Thanks for the tip i'll post this in the photography forum also and maybe they have something for me. :)I keep searching. Elfquest

I hire models. I have 4 sets atm of photos on my hd waiting to become textures/characters & am going on Saturday to photo shoot 2 more models. You need a really good camera too. Olympus is the best IMHO. You can contact models thru your local phonebook, beauty salons also have a lot of clintel that are models. I am forchante because I owned & operated 2 full service beauty shops for 17 yrs. I have kept in contact with all my old clients. You might start off with asking family/friends. I take approx. 500 photos for each model. Sometimes more sometimes less.

Fine Art Departments at a local university or art school usually has a list of models that pose for drawing and painting classes. You can hire them for a straight fee or by the hour.

I saw a package of face shots in the Marketplace recently, but can't recall who the seller was...? I wish more photographers would consider marketing their hi-res photos of models for texture makers. It would help to defray the costs of hiring a model, I would think :)

I get most of my models at this link. But I am in southern California and theres models every were here . This link has thousands of models all over the USA with a large listing of models who will do nude work of some kind. Its really not that hard to find the models , I have even ask gals in line at the local grocery store to pose for me. Another idea is to contact some of the amature photographers that have nude photographs of models in there listing. You could tell them your needs and pay for a part of there next shoot in exchange for the photo's . If you want paticulars you can IM me and i will help you explain to the photographer what your needs are.

I am evil - anyone who enters my house gets their face and profile photographed (I will crack that Face Room, I will!) Many members of my family have had hands, feet and a few other bits (decent bits I might add) recorded - I can put on a really pathetic 'please please' face at times! And the big confession - I have made a texture with bits of me for the detailed bits. I dread to think what my work mates would say if they knew I sat at home photographing my nipples - not that I do that often I might add!!!
