Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 31 9:45 am)
yes but it will need a little work from you. 1. Note the names of all of the materials used with vickie, including any lash trans hair trans and bump maps. 2. Collect them all by copying them into a folder ~name it something you will recognise when you try and import. 3. export vickie as a wavefront object ~this will give you two files :an .obj and a .mtl [ = the name you give the export file] make sure you export this object and mtl into the folder that contains all of her supporting textures ** please ensure that any transparencies are set to 100% for both min and max sliders* Vue: 1. Copy the folder with your exported obj and accompanying files into your vue object directory. 2. Open Vue and choose to import object. 3. Browse through your object directory and locate your required folder with vickie et all. 4. if it calls for any textures...point it to the same folder..if the texture isn't there, then u missed one and you will need to locate it for Vue to find it. 5. edit any of the materials assigned to suit your needs as per normal through the material editor. I hope this helps. ~Sacred

I've had problem exporting Vicki to Vue and Bryce. I asked in those forums and they told me the problem was the location of the texture files and where they are located. Fine. Can I do an export from Poser that includes all the textures too? In other words, the end result is a folder with the exported object and all of the textures? Or something like that?
