If you recall about a week ago I posted images of strange divits or holes in the snow on my deck. Well when the snow finally stopped I had 1 hole left. Never did figure out what caused them.(Orig. Post: NJ, MD, :pp This is just south of Philly... the third image) Its been raining here for 2 days and the snow has been melting. I took a look outside on the deck this evening and where the one hole was was this. The snow has melted around the snow hole. This is just plain wierd. Magick Michael

Is there anything hanging over where the hole is (birdfeeder, hanging plant, etc...)? This is a bit weird.

The poor snail there got confused and went around in a circle a few times. This caused excess melting in that area and the snow dropped down to fill in the space. I think you should do the decent thing and dig him out. (",)
