There are people still working at Curious Labs.<< A few... >>Good people.<< No, they laid off all the good ones... >>A word of encouragement would probably go a long way,<< So would another patch for P5. And a Mac version might be nice too (I don't use mac, but I sympathise with Mac-using Poser addicts who seem to have been shut out of P5 completely)

Crystaldragon: Those are mostly the non-standard-poses like swordfighting and a lot of sportsposes ... As I did mostly the Judy-poses I did those poses for Judy. Don't nail me on the total amount - I really don't know ... I think a few hundred ... I really don't know if the new (old ?) team at CL knows about that ... I should might just write to them and ask if I can release them - without their permission I'm not allowed to do so ... - but first I have to get back healthy - let's hope this flu allows me one day to stay up for more than one or two hours.

Peng, making jokes (cheap jokes, I may add) at CL and involving DAZ into that makes DAZ look bad. And then it's nothing new, Ironbear wrote a similar story already sometime ago over at 3d arena. I am a little bit surprised to see you jump on that train, especially when I think about what you are working on for some time now ...

No, they laid off all the good ones...<<< No, that is not true. I have my issues with CL, how they released Poser 5, etc., etc. Those opinions will never change. My customer ties are forever severed with CL, but there are still a few good people at CL. At least I had the honor of dealing with one who kept her word. So I have to respectfully disagree with your statement above, martian_hunter. Take care, be well, keep flying. casamerica

Incidently, Metacreations is still around, they seemed to have changed the name, though. Still loosing money, too, but not as fast. Maybe if they bought Poser... ;-)

I dunno, Punkti - I was just making funny pictures. A cheap shot would be calling the ship "RMS Furious Crabs", as a buddy had suggested to me (almost wish I had...) As it is, I remained neutral while giving my opinion, wrapping the whole thing in a story. What I say is certainly not representative of DAZ Policy (though it they do get a laugh out of it I'll be more than happy to take credit. I did snatch their banner logo after all.) As for what I am working on at the moment, it is none of anyone's concern, at the moment. I ask that you and I both keep it that way. Now, leering at Aiko's hooters prolly isn't considered to be among the smarter things my orange-haired alter-ego has ever done, but the rest of the whole silly story I cobbled together is IMHO very true in its own little way... and I just felt like getting people to laugh about it instead of tearing their hair and breaking out the sackcloth and ashes. /P

Yes, you and others think it's funny but those maybe in a difficult situation may have other opinions about that. And making jokes about that maybe some more could loose their jobs isn't really funny at all. Although I don't think that CL or Egisys will sink.

As for what I am working on at the moment, it is none of anyone's concern, at the moment. I ask that you and I both keep it that way.
Don't worry.

Hey, hey Peng, Puntomaus - everything is OK (well, uhm - no it's not - but well ...). To write someting satirical will always split in different opinions - while the one laugh about it - the other will be angry etc ... Keep the current conflict with Iraq in mind - I've gotten many funny (?) mails about that - if you look at them from an even little serious point of view they are certainly not funny - but maybe it is the freedom of the one who writes a satire that protects him or her. So - however - long story short sense - don't be angry about each other :o).
