Well, just checked it out at Border's and it's got a ton of Poser 4 stuff from the old Poser 4 Handbook. What a rip-off. Glad I didn't just order it from Amazon. Marque

Unfortunately, I bought it! I'm fairly new to Poser and though there were a few decent suggestions, most of it appeared to be a repeat of the sentence, "Poser 5 is great for ____" (fill in the blank) and almost never giving you reasonable instructions to follow through. It's poorly organized, filled with a bunch of useless fluff, poor illustrations and almost worthless. It's so bad that even as a beginer, I thought of trying to write one myself. It may be as technically useless as the reference book that comes with Poser when you buy it.

That's disappointing. I thought they were going to try to improve since the Poser 4 handbook was so disappointing.

Has anyone bought Poser 5 for Windows: Visual QuickStart Guide by Mick McAllister????

Maybe there is something to a name. Shamms Mortier seems to be nothing but a sham when writing books for Poser. No wonder many people feel that Poser is a useless toy. There are very few books for Poser and three of them (by you know whom) are just BS. Maybe P&T could do a show about him. ;0) There are so many talented, knowledgeable, wonderful people using Poser at a master level. We should urge them to collaborate on a book worthy of our time.
