Now don't say longer. I've already done longer. :) I've been working on this one too long to look at it objectively. I call it BlondeCourtney (aka Courtney Love). Is it any good? Trying to be different. This might end up being style #8 Ignore the lack of creative posing and face morphs. Anton

I think it should be longer...oh, wait, sorry :) I think it looks fantastic, though I don't do short hair :) Can't wait to see the rest! -Darth_Logice

All I would suggest is getting rid of the "shaggy dog" look of the ends. A smoother cutline so it appears cut, instead of just all different lengths? Otherwise this is looking very good. :)

A punk-rocker always needs a shaggy dog hair-do ;-) That really does look like Courtney Love of HOLE... -JH.

Anton, I like it the way it is. I already have a thought of a 60-70ish image I would definitely use this for. I do not mean to be confrontational with Bast (whose creative artistry cannot be questioned) by any means, but I like the "shaggy dog" look. It lends itself to uses most of the other transmapped hair looks do not. In addition to possibly using it for that 60-70ish time or even punk, it has a look that reminds me of Pris from Blade Runner. I even like the color because I have been able to take similarly colored hair and turn it into almost any color I need. Another great work, Anton.

First thanks for such a quick response. I already have smooth bobs so I was going for something versitile(wet hair, greasy, rocker, peasant girl, goth chic, vampire, etc). The prop is casting shadows but this can be turned off. The ends are, of course, transmapped with feathered strokes. I am making most of my hair props with blonde maps. As casamerica pointed out, they can be easily changed to almost any other color in photoshop or painter. It is a strong look. But do you think people will want it? Anton

grin I do like the shaggy dog look too, but was hoping for an alternate version for a very short, very slick 1920's bob style. You know me, still here trying to recreate the silent ladies of the 20's ;)

Okay Bast, but you better buy it. :)

The style needs, IMO, one of three changes: 1) Shaggier; the shaggy ends are jarring on such a short hairstyle. It needs to be more "jaggy" throughout. 2) More length 3) Both. THough I'd recommend using a morph dial for length, and leaving this length as the default.

CharlieBrown ( ) posted Tue, 16 May 2000 at 9:29 AM

Layered. That's the word I was looking for. Not "Shaggy" or "Jaggy." Layered. D'oh. Oh, and this probably best be addressed through a good texture map. So just a morph dial to adjust length and it would be perfect... ;-)

It does need more layeres throughout. I agree. Thanks.

Just one comment about the ends: when you have straight hair and cut it shaggy like this, it lays in flatter against your neck toward the ends because there's less hair there to poof them out. So it shouldn't go straight down or have so much body at the ends--this cut in real life would have a lot of body around the top and then kind of taper in to the neck. Nice work! Mary

It's teased that way and texturized with a razor alonf the bottom. It's a teased shag, not an elevated bob. But I did make one. :) Anton
