Yes Mike, really great to hear our ex-moderator come back soon and more often! Pitty, I know what you feel with this sh.. when an unsaved scene crashes! ... but champ like you should be able to rebuild it fast, don't you?! ;-) Bernie P.S.: Extra for you a con-klshjglkHSGIMB GOIVUMQTUNWZ GG

Hi guys, good to "see" you. :) I have all the Vue updates up to 4.06 on CD, and haven't been able to download anything later than that. Too bad they're too large for floppies, or it wouldn't be a problem. Doesn't seem to make sense to get internet access at home just for the latest updates, especially since 4.06 works well. For that matter, I don't even know what the patches since that one do. I'll figure out a way to get it sooner or later though. Maybe I'll see if E-on could mail it to me. One good thing about not having internet at home---fewer distractions! I've been doing alot of Vue-ing lately instead of spending half my computer time on the 'net messing around. :)

OK, so I've been using Vue 4.06 all this time now. I haven't upgraded to whatever is the latest patch (4.12?) because I have no internet at home. Oh well, no biggie, because 4.06 works just fine for what I do. So guess what? I reformat my HD, after saving everything, etc...and then when I install Vue 4, I completely forget about slapping the 4.06 patch on it. By this point I'm used to Vue being pretty stable, so I'm working on a scene for like 2 hours, getting everything just right...and guess what? I'm moving around too fast in the material editor and CRASH! There goes Vue and my un-saved scene. :( My fault though, and I can't blame Vue, because I should know that the number one rule with Windows apps is save, save, save. One thing I realized though and it's made me appreciate Vue even more, is that with the 4.06 patch, Vue doesn't crash at all, ever. Sorry for rambling, but I just had to share this with people who understand this sort of thing. I feel much better now. :)
