Subject: Subdivide question

Hi, sorry to ask this, but is there a way to subdivide a mesh directly in Poser 5? I've read some recommendations to do this for hair, but don't know how. Thanks.

Hmmm. The Firefly render engine has the ability to subdivide meshes during the render itself, in order to smooth polygons and displace geometry. But it can't really export the subdivided mesh. And the polygon-smoothing sometimes has unwanted results, particularly with straight edges (the inflation effect). Among the included Python scripts is a GeomMod utility named geomSubdivide2.py, which can subdivide a mesh. The results (which I find somewhat unpredictable) can be exported or saved.

Thank you very much Little D. For a moment I thought it could be a menu function or something. :) Sergio
