As I drove home tonight from the Game Developer's Conference, the moon hung low in the sky with a chessy cat smile. I was smiling, too. I'd just had dinner with Dan Farr, Steve Kondris, and Taylor Wilson (all from DAZ), and Steve Cooper (Curious Labs), and Josh Reiss (Reiss Studio). Conversation was congenial... topics ranged from the health of children to the health of the industry, from the snowman to fireworks in the desert, from the space program to the beauty of the canyonlands. The meal was excellent, but the company even better. Thank you, Dan, for hosting a lovely evening! Carolly

Some of them DO drop in... but only when they have something useful to say. If they pop in as casual visitors. all that happens is they get peppered with questions that they either can't or shouldn't answer. For instance. Steve Kondris is now taking care of DAZ PR, and I know he keeps an eye on the fora, but doesn't poke his nose in unless there's something that he feels needs to be said. With the current state of play; changes at CL, DAZ Studio in the works, etc, I feel they're wise to stay out of the threads until they have something to say. Anyway, I'd like to think they're all working too hard to hang around here. The only thing that gets my goat is CL's dramatic silence of the last few months, and none of the above can be held responsible for that. mac
