OK if you are having memory problems you dont need dial cleaner becouse that doesnt reduce the size of your figures, It just hides the dials. what you probably need is INJection Pose builder(available at DAZ), Create your character run it through IPB and then use that pose on V3 with no morphs. IPB creates a file that only injects the morphs that you used to make your character, your resulting figure should be about a tenth the size of the fully loaded figure(depending on how many of the morphs you used in the Character). attached is my tutorial on how to use IPB"IPB creates a file that only injects the morphs that you used to make your character" Isn't that what the injection poses from DAZ are supposed to do too? I injected a character with the male morph pack and a few additional facial morphs, yet I get blank dials for all the morphs when I forget to run dial cleaner.
yes those poses only inject the specific morphs but when you save a figure as a cr2 or a pz3 and reopen it those blank channels which have no morphs connected to them show up as blank dials. this does not make the file larger and dial cleaner doesnt make it smaller. in order to be able to accept morph injections a figure(V3) must have available channels these chanels themselves dont take up much file space it's only when you add the morph that you get a larger file size. poser when it saves a figure through some quirk makes those empty channels visible on reload. that does not affect render time or manipulation time it only affects the time it takes to scroll through all the blank dials to find the ones you want to change. if you load your character through an injection pose those blank dials won't show until you save (cr2/pz3)the resulting character. I wouldnt save it as a cr2 as it is practicly just as easy to load the uninjected figure and apply the INJ pose. and hopefully when you save your pz3 scene your character is fully morphed and you wont need to access the morphs so ignore the blank dials. if you are going to play with the morphs run dial cleaner before opening your pz3 but again those blank dials should have no effect on your posing or rendering times. oh and sorry about not answering your first question Mako dial cleaner can be found at the bottom of the V3 product page, at DAZ

I've been told to hide/get rid of as many unused dials for my figures as possible, because I can't render more than one V3 file at a time. I've looked for Dial Cleaner at DAZ, but can't find it. I've heard that it also doesn't always work all the time. Does anyone know if DAZ took it off their site? Or if there's another way to get rid of dials? I have P4-Mac. Thanks :) - Mako -
