Subject: Shaving Foam

FishNose ( ) posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 9:44 AM · edited Mon, 13 January 2025 at 8:23 AM

Hiyas - I need shaving foam. I want to use the DAZ shaving pack ( a recent freebie) but I need some fluffy white foam. In other words, not just white apinted on a tex or post work, but 3 dimensional foam. A sort of general use foam blob(s) that can easily be placed anywhere. Can anyone help out? :] Fish

Look at some of Ernyoka's blobs and glop in freestuff. They are morphable, and with the right color should serve this purpose.

Uhm sowwyyyy....... I know it's confusing with my 2 names.... Oh and speaking of shawing foam, I am actuaell make some shampoo at the moment. Might as well make some shawing foam too... Will take a day or two though.. But then it will fit Mike / Vickie... For foam in a cup I guess the puddle could be usefull, but I'm planning something better :) hang on. it's midnight here, so it'll have to wait untill tomorrow. Hope that's ok :o)

Another thought is Nerd's Fog tool. You'd probably need to fiddle with the texture to make it more dense...and of course, shrink it down to size.

Shawing foam? lol! Yes thanks trekkie, I don't at all mind waiting. Pablo - the fog tool? Hmm, interesting thought.... :] Fish

Don't worry, I'll make it. But I got a little delayed. My mom was rushed into hospital today so I've spent all evening there while they tried to figure out why she kept fainting :o/ She's better now but still in hospital. And I'll hopefully get some time to make shaving foam tomorrow :o)

ernyoka1, First, I hope your mom is doing well. Sounds scary. I'm also interested in seeing your foam. But don't rush...take care of Mom. Fish, I never tried the fog tool that way...it just came to me while I was reading the thread. I've been thinking about foam too except I'm looking for sea and/or bubble bath foam. Shaving foam is more "lathery" and may be well suited for the fog tool (although it might be overkill if you just want to cover a cheek)

Ouch trekkie!! I hope your mum is OK?? Geez... a month back I was at hospital a whole day with my mum (she's 69). She slipped on ice outside a shop doorway and hit her head on the concrete, got a really bad concussion. X-rays and stuff, they said she was OK.... but it took her more than 2 weeks to get back to normal. Probably her little hat saved her from a cracked skull. Now all the ice and snow here in Stockholm is suddenly gone!! Spring is in the air.... tralalala.... :] Fish

Thanks PabloS and FishNose :o) My mom is recovering as expected. They still don't really know what caused it but she's going thru all sorts of tests, so I'm sure they'll do a great job with her :o) She's much better but still in hospital at least for this weekend too. Spring in Denmark too, almost hot outside today, around 10 degrees C. and sunny :o) Oh and I just saw a hare hopping past my window here where I work :o)

LOL! They are talking about a cooling trend today because it is 55 degrees F (13 degrees centigrade?) this morning. What a difference the part of the world you live in makes! My thoughts are with you too. My mom has been in and out of the hospital the last two years (oh, the glamorous results of a life time of smoking) and it always makes me worry. It's probably nothing, but better to know what's going on if they can figure it out.
