Subject: Now available here in the Marketplace: MAT Pose Creator, Version 4.0

Yes, the MAT Pose Creator has been for sale for a while, but I just wanted to post a reminder that people can purchase it, here, at the Renderosity Marketplace. ------------------ Have you ever wanted to create MAT poses yourself but never knew how? Have you converted all of your Vicky 2 textures to Vicky 3, but have no MAT poses that work with Vicky 3? Do you use Poser 5? Have you looked at the code inside of a Poser 5 MAT pose? What does "no_parm" mean? And what is an "image_map" node anyway? Now, with the MAT Pose Creator, you, the "average" person, can create MAT poses just like the professional merchants. And no coding or programming experience is necessary! If you can use Poser 4's Materials Editor screen, you can use this program. And there's no need to worry about whether your MAT pose will include Poser 5 information or not- just check a setting and the MAT Pose Creator will automatically translate your settings into Poser 5 "shader node" settings.

(message continues after advertisement) SoftgoodThumb16481.gif What it is: This is version 4.0 of the highly-selling Windows application, the MAT Pose Creator, and includes the following features: - Microsoft Access no longer required: unlike the previous versions, the program now uses "flat files" as a database. Access and "DAO" supporting files are no longer needed.

  • Create "native" Poser 5 MAT poses: no more worrying if your MAT pose will work with Poser 5.
  • Convert "Poser 4"-style MAT poses to "Poser 5" style- do you have a lot of MAT poses that you use in Poser 4, but seem to do odd things in Poser 5? With the MAT Pose Creator, you can open the Poser 4 MAT pose and re-save it in Poser 5 format.
  • Or, convert "Poser 5"-style MAT poses to "Poser 4"-style: or, are you trying to do the opposite, for example, load Don or Judy (the Poser 5 figures) in Poser 4 (and finding that their MAT poses don't work)? With the MAT Pose Creator, you just open the Poser 5 MAT pose and re-save it in Poser 4 format.
  • User Interface: change any material's settings using an interface you are already familiar with: the "Material Editor" screen found in Poser 4.
  • Create SDMAT Poses for Figures: create SDMAT poses (sub-dividing MAT poses) for figures (cr2 files), just like the "pros" do.
  • Save Pose As...: new for version 4: when you save a MAT pose, you have the choice to save it in your pose folder (as a pz2), in your camera folder (as a cm2), in your face folder (as an fc2), or in your hands folder (as a hd2).
  • Material Selection: select/ deselect an object's parts to include them (or not) in the final MAT pose. (Great for creating MAT poses for only Lips or Fingernails.)
  • Material Selection for SDMAT's: select/ deselect parts to include them (or not) in the final sub-dividing MAT pose. (Great for creating SDMAT's that only affect the arms, chest, or legs.)
  • "Smart" Transparency Map: select a Trans. Map and the program will set the transparency options to their correct values.
  • "Tip of the Day": tips to help point out some of the new features.
  • Import/ Export: share your Material and Part Definitions with other MAT Pose Creator users.
  • Open Existing MAT Poses: the program can open both normal MAT poses and sub-dividing MAT Poses, in both "Poser 4" and "Poser 5" formats.
  • User-Changeable Colors: say goodbye to Windows' "battleship grey"- this program ships with the ability to change the colors of the interface at any time. Of course, if you like the "battleship grey" look, you can now set the program to "Use [your] System Colors".
  • Mutli-Language Support: you have the ability to switch between English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish instantly (no restarting the program for the change to take effect).
  • Custom "rsr" Thumbnail: helps distinguish the MAT Pose Creator-created MAT poses from the existing poses. You can choose to create an rsr or png file.

Do folks that have bought the version 3 get an update?

JHoagland ( ) posted Sat, 15 March 2003 at 7:18 PM

Sorry, I forgot to mention it- anyone who purchased a previous version receives all updates (including this one) for free. If you purchased the program here, just click on your Home Page, go to the "Previous Purchases" page, find the item and re-download it. You will then receive the updated item. If you purchased it from another site, just send me an e-mail with your name (or the name you used to purchase it) and an approximate order date, and I'll e-mail you the updated item.
