Subject: Underwater scene for poser

Pic 1 I'm doing my first underwater scene background for Poser but i can't decide on which pic to use, Also can anyone give me any tips on making it look good Rendered in Bryce 5

Picture one looks like the east coast here in South Florida, Picture 2 resembles the murky west coast. So I think both are good, just for different settings. Both look like a depth of 15 to 20 feet, after that, visibility starts deminishing. For a more real reef look, make the floor more deformed and with recessed cannions or channesls.

A lot would depend on what your subject is and how much emphesis you wish to place on the subject (the brighter the scene the less the subject will stand out). I think that both are good. I haven't checked out your final yet but I'll bet it's interesting.

2 looks more like realistic underwater, but 1 is more exciting or eye-catching in some way that I can't really define!

What I didn't quite understand is why the flower pattern is happening...it's the only thing that detract from the realism for me. Cris
