usually you have to have an actual ground prop or wall, something for the shadow to fall on... also make sure your lights that are casting shadows are directed where you want a shadow to fall.. make sure cast shadows is clicked when rendering.. but i think u must have checked that as you said! hope that is of some help -=SimderZ=-
A bit of confusion perhaps. Two different things going on: The "Shadows" you can see in preview are simply guides that have nothing to do with the lights and will not appear in renders. The actual shadows cast by Poser's lights will only appear in renders, and will never show up in preview. Search "shadow" in here for more than you ever wanted to know about different methods of lighting and shadow contol!

i just ran across this problem today. never had it before. but it seems my ground shadows in my renderings are gone, ( yes i have triple check the settings). they show up on the screen, yet when i render into a images they aren't there. i've reinstalled PPP on another drive,, still i got the same problems, anyone out there having the same or have had this problem before?
