Subject: Problem with VV2003; Vogue & 2003 Steffy StaX Installation

I encountered this problem with installation of the above to my win2000 Professional OS. After installing 2003 Steffy Stax and VV2003 I try to run Poser 5, a message appear "Parse error. Line 10 not well formed" and Poser just won't start. Install other character like V2 & V3, I have no problem. Greatly appreciate if someone out here can help. Thanks

Ooops, I wanted to help you out but I'm running PPP on a Mac. Sorry. I'm sure Wyrmmaster can help you out!

I have WinME and was getting the Parse error message. It's usually an illegal character in a file or folder name--the ampersand "&" is a huge culprit. I think the last Poser 5 update was supposed to take care of the problem. There is a work around where you have to change the file name but there is another file where you have to change the actual line in the text. I've attached the link to the message where I typed in the reply I got from CL's techs with the explanation and the workaround.

Thanks Pigfish. Try the workaround and the problem has been fixed. Cheers.

Glad I could help. I know how frustrating that is. Have you installed all the upgrades to your P5? They make a big difference in the program's stability.
