Subject: redoing the conform curls

Anton Kisiel just brought me to an idea... we all like Allerleirauhs transparent conforming curls very much, but for long there is the idea of redoing them.. the original curls model is not very good to texturemap, i've tried to improve but failed.. there have been showed some very good ideas and new techniques, i just can't do them but i can bring up the idea. let's tear down the conforming curls obj into pieces and map them seperately, then put them together again, and perhaps add the skullcap for the hairline, like known from kozaburos work (hope i remember that right) i'll offer myself to do the textures if there's some others to make the new obj and map them, we could even use multiple layers, but i would like to have the object look exactly the same shape like the known curls brought with poser to all hair stylists and modelers: please help! -Ede

i agree with your idea about the sheets instead of strands, i'm just a little in love with the curls and i fear they don't look the same if they're totally redone but i'd love to see something even more awesome we should ask kozuburo to join us i'm not a modeler so, where do we start ? -Ede
