Subject: Any one using Ampi 7 with the Carrara bridge?

If so, how well does it work? How does it work- in Carrara or does it just export from Amapi to Carrara? TIA

I got Amapi7 today. I'm on a super steep learning curve but as soon as I know I'll post something. -Kixdork.gif

I just received AMAPI 7 yesterday, so I haven't worked with it too much yet. However, I did try the Carrara Bridge to see if it works. From what I can see it appears to be working. When you double-click on the object you made with AMAPI it tells you to change the file with AMAPI and click the "update" button. I did this a couple of times and had no issues, but the object wasn't overly complex. Brian

I bought Amapi and returned it. There are a lot of serious bugs I can't believe they even released a product so half-baked. Reference Manual, well, you can forget that because Eovia thinks a PDF is enough to help you over the learning curve. I tried Carrara bride and that seems to work fine but Amapi Designer 7 has many issues. Better wait for patches if you want the software

So what do people think of the A7 to C2 bridge now that they have played with it a few months? Is it worth it?

Guess my question is really two-fold, how much better is A7 over A5.1 and how well does the bridge work?

I'm really curious before I plunk down the money although I'm also waiting for Eovia to offer some hot deals like their recent RD to C2 upgrade offers ;-)
