Just for a bit of info... My friend has Cinema 4d, and in case you can't see this properly... this is 2 metaballs boolean subtracting a cube, then exported into 3ds format. Which my friend sent me. This hurts.

Not only that... if you try the demo version, the speed of the renderings is so fast that the first time I did one I wondered if it has some bugs, maybe... :-|

A 600MHz celeron with 256MB Ram running a C4D-render with soft shadows and radiosity beat my AMD 1800+ with 512 MB Ram running a similar Bryce-render, also with softshadows but Normal AA! Talk about a difference in Rendering speed.

Yep I have also noticed a quite dramatic increase in rendering speed with c4d
