I was pleasantly suprised at the relatively short render time on this...less than 2 hours. (HA! 6 months ago that would have realllly bugged me that is was that long.) After the last few things I have been working on I needed something that suggested freedom. :)

It's powerful, Claymor. The concept, but also the realization. This "ant-POV" (I steal Rochr's definition) really rocks, and it's one of the cases in which DOF gives its best effect. Very good floor in the foreground. Is it a terrain or a texture bump-mapped? S.

great image the dof works great! terrain and chain are great!

Floor is photo texture on an infinite plane with a bump map created using a desaturated version of the texture. I darkened the deep spots on the bump map a little too.

Well done.

Render settings as above. Focus set to the ring coming off the front shackle. Yes, I made all the models.

claymor, I always called it a mouse view but then ... I always wanted to do a depth of field pic but never got around to it. Maybe I will now. Thanks for the pointers. - TJ

Looks awesome, maybe leave the TIR on, it won't hurt considering you have metals and reflections!

Absolutely excellent image. And makes a powerful statement. Nice work Claymore. 8-)
