Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 6:06 am)
nothing in poser4 is put into the registry - but to be sure - try Start - Control Panel - Add Remove Software/Programs. If you see poser4 there then click remove. If it is not there and I dont think it should be - simply open windows explorer - go to c: drive - go to poser4 directory (could be under metacreations under programs folder or curious labs under programs folder) and on left side of windows explorer right click on the metacreations or curiouslabs (whichever installation you have) while holding down the Shift Key and a second menu will come up - left click select delete while holding down Shift key and it will totally disappear. Holding down the shift key while doing this completely removes and does not put in recycle bin. If you have Norton controlling your recycle - I am not sure whether this works but you can always clean out Norton. BUT before you do that - start up your new installation and make sure all your characters/props/etc are there. Never hurts to be safe ;-) After you remove this big hunka stuff from your c: drive you really ought to run disk defragger. I didn't catch which OS you are using but on xp is under Administrative Tools - Computer Management. On 98x you probably have that little white window down by time for scheduled tasks and that should have disk defrag - if not the program is located in windows directory and called defrag.exe. Good luck!
