THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Dusk or Dawn (WIP)

This is something I've been messing around with for a few days. I like that it has a touch of realism, and IMO looks very un-Bryce.

But, what else to add to it? I tried the usual heads/cups/bodies lol...nothing seemed to fit.

Any suggestions?

My immediate reaction was that it was dawn and I needed to be putting my surfboard in the water. I completely saw a guy filling most of the open ceneter section just launching out on his board. Probably because it reminds me of an old surf spot in San Diego.

seaweed, barnicles, algae, starfish, sealions and or seagulls?

I agree with the mouse... kinda surprised one of those rocks isn't a half submerged head.. :o)

Seagulls, now that's an idea :-)

Maybe a closeup of an interesting group of these rocks with bikermouse's additions...

IMHO...it's complete as is. That's probably why you're having trouble fitting anything else in. Sometimes simple is best. Great mood.

Mermaids, flying fish, sea serpents, message in a bottle. My dad found a ten thousand peso note in the surf once in San Diego.

10,000 pesos.... isn't that like $1.50? ;)

catlin_mc ( ) posted Fri, 11 April 2003 at 3:27 PM

Perhaps it is finished as is, it sure looks realistic, and maybe nothing else is needed. A message in a bottle sounds good though, perhaps with a seagull looking at it. Will it ever be found by another person? no-one knows...... Catlin

Thanks for the great ideas and kind words :-) I think I will try to hunt down some seagulls, maybe a bottle or two. Doug

i like the message in a bottle idea, but try as hard as you can to keep the realism. for that reason i'd stay away from a seagull unless it is a 2d picture.

How about a fishing line?
