Subject: How does one convert .mov files to panoramic .jpeg?

I am experimenting with the undocumented, beta version of the new MetaStream 3 scene building software. One menu option is to import a panoramic background scene. It only supports a jpeg panorama. I can create a 360 degree panorama in Bryce, but it saves it as an .mov file. I am trying to find a utility that converts a 360 degree .mov file into a 360 panoramic .jpg file. Anyone out there know how to do this? By the way, in the MTS 3 scene building software you can import a regular .jpg, but since they are not seamless 360's, they don't look good!

Hi seedpress, In the document setup dialog select "panoramic", next select "Panoramic render" from the dropdowm render list next to the render controls. create your image as you would if you wre doing a qtvr movie, with the camera in the middle and your objects placed around it 360 degrees for best balance. now select "render to disk "from the file>render to disk and name the file, I just did it with a .bmp but I'm sure you can convert it to .jpeg if you really need to. hope this helps Hawkfyr

I render Panos all the time, after you render the image select export image from the edit menu and then you can save it as a .tif or .pict or a.bmp for PC. Hawk's way works just as well too:-)

Do atleast one thing a day that scares the hell outta ya!!
