Sorry to hear that, I've been there myself. One of the most important things you can buy is a CD burner. -JH.

I've heard people mention a product called "Spin-Write" not sure about the spelling there. It's supposed to be able to fix HD problems in some cases. You might want to investigate it. I have no idea how much it costs or how well it works. ScottA

i guess the data should be ok on the HD, but if i connect the power plug, nothing happens we have tried all sorts of power supplies/IDE ports it's hardware failure something must have happened to the electronic i guess

You can try putting your HD in an external casing! Like the ones for CD-Burners... It saved mine! by the way what is your stuff?? where they available for upload, cause i have a very extensive collection spawning 4 cds from all over the net!! Marc

There are companies that recover hard drives. Basically they take the discs out of your hard drive and put them in a reader and copy them. It costs, but if the data in your HD is valuable to you, well worth the cost.

Talent is God's gift to you. Using it is your gift to God.

My desktop has 2 hard disks, each 6 GBytes. I do all my work on disk #1, and every so often I back it up to disk #2.
