This is my first michael texture that was hand painted. Tell me what needs work. The body is a different color because its a texture by btsculptor. I wish i could make pores near the cheek but i have no idea how to do it. i thought about making a bump map but how would i be able to make tons of little dots by hand to simulate the pores?

Anton pointed out a tutorial the other day over at Daz's that showed you how to do a overlay in a layer that would work if you could find a close up photo of a face.

I remember seeing atut once on creating a bump map from the "noise" tool in photoshop, yo might want to do a search, see what you can find. later jb

This is the link to the post i was talking about before .I also saw a post, were some one said they used a texture from a orange. I tried it once and it wasnt to shabby. Made one big high rez one from a orange i picked in the yard. Dont just grab the first one you see in the market. Really look at its surface to get the best texture you can. The ones growing here in peoples yards have better bumps than the store bought ones . But unless you live in california or florida your out of luck . They seam to get bumpeyer the longer they sit around as well.

Well my first thought is that Mike needs to lay off VIckies lipgloss ... seriously most gents do not have lips that pale pink, you should drop the saturation and make them a little darker. What I ususally do for lips is to set the layer to multiply or color burn, so its is adding its color to the base layer .. with women you can have a sharper change in color assuming they have makeup.. but most men are fairly close in tone for lips and skin Same on the tongue ... in fact go to the mirror and stick your tongue out ...see? it's kind dark reddish purple underneath and a nubbly white over dark pink on top. Plus on most people there is this weird little seam down the center. The eyebrows are an odd colour ... but your gent may have maroon hair ... I'd hueshift it a bit to dark brown and lastly I'd suggest fading the shading a fair amount since much of the shading will happen with the lighting and model. Hope that helps some, plus I've attached a link to a thread in the Texturing forum on using layered files for texuring. Lyrra
