Hello all, Let me begin by saying a big thank-you to Yamato and all the folks who have been making superb free stuff for his models. The quality is excellent and I have so many new toys to play with thanks to them. And now a plea for help. Lovely as the moko hair provided with TentenJ is, I would like to use something else. I have been trying to fit the Kozaburo updo and ponytail2 on her head, but fitting hair to models is a major blind spot for me. I was wondering if anybody has done this successfully and has the correct scale and x,y,z trans settings for me. I appreciate this is a fairly basic task, but nontheless I just can't get it looking right. Failing that, what is the difference in scale between Vicky's and the PT girl's head? Help.

I generally trans it y and then z, and it's different every time. May I suggest something? When I started mixing and matching hair, I started with the Kaz ponytail which I think is the very hardest to switch, and I gave up. I tried to get it on Mike. Try using the wave hair by Kaz. It is much easier to fit to anybody and if there is a Vicky fit use that for TenTenJ because the PT girl's head matches Vicki's closer than Posette's. Again use the y trans first. You might want to use a display that shows the hair a little better, I forget what the right one is called but you can see the edges very well. Use the Face Camera. Play with y trans until it looks right. Then use the trackball to move to a side view-- does it look as if the hair is too much in the front, move it back with z just a tiny bit. That is generally all you have to do. If you have the Daz blunt hair, practice with that as well, then try the Wild Tail for Maya-- I've had no probs getting that on anybody. The Kaz ponytail fits very very close in to the head and doesn't always fit very well-- at least when I'm doing it-- around the ears. Get the ears as good as you can and then the main forehead line. It will be a little further in than most hair. But having practiced on easier hair you may have better luck. Emily

MRrobotto,The head morph/reshapeing done on TenTenJ,has flated the forhead, and curved it back a bit. Trying to fit hair that is pulled back, with a hair line(like the two your trying),is not going to work very well. Use hair that has bangs to cover that curvature, like the wave hair, that queri, mentioned,or Koz's new long hair looks great on TenTenJ. SWAMP
