Subject: exporting textures

How can you save textures in Bryce which can be used in studio max? Is it possible to save a procedural texture, and have it seamlessly tile in Max!?

Not really. You CAN render a procedural texture on a plane and use the result as you would any 2D pic texture. If you want it to be seamless, you'll need to use Photoshop or some other paint program to make it seamless. I haven't done this myself, but I do believe it's possible.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Yeah, there is no way to truly export it. Only just render it out like tjohn said.

I don't know about Max, but you can also apply the texture to a flattened low rez terrain and do a terrain export. The exporter alows you to control the size/image format and which maps (i.e. Diffuse, Ambient, Bump, etc.) gets saved. Afterwards just delete the terrain. For me this works a lot better then setting it up from a scene shot. HTH; Dan
