I created my first dress for victoria. It conforms and everything but if you move the arms the fabric of the sleeves looks realy terrible =( Ive been looking at tutorials but cant figure out how to fix it....does anyone know of a good tutorial or some tips on how to fix this?

I attatched a pic of the dress in the default position so you can get an idea of what I want the sleeves to be able to do .....

Thanks for your help in advance!

Crimsonia, Itwould help more to see the dress bent and therefor the problms you are haveing. In addition a veiw of the dress in wire frame mode would also help. mike

crimsonia, While it's conformed, select the lShldr of the dress and in Twist enter .001 and see if it snaps it back into shape in the pose above. If so, I get the same problem sometimes and I have a workaround for you.

I hope that you get it fixed. Nice silhouette!

It looks like some of the vertices don't move when the arms are moved. It probably come from the joints. Open the joint editor palette and check if all the vertices are in the green zone. If not, alter the green zone a bit to include these vertices. (it happened to me recently, because I was using the not-so-technical way of doing an obj then editing Vickie cr2 to make it conform. This copies the joint parameters and zones, but if the cloth is not very tight, some of its vertices may fall off the green zones). Hopes this helps. Compiler.

I have to agree with compiler, it's a joint parameter problem. THe sleeve of the shirt is "loose" on the arm, when clothing is made like that you have to check the joint parameters and insure that the 'zones' are set to to incude the loose cloth. One other thing is to check and be absolutely sure all of the vertices are included in the shoulder groups. I've occationally missed a vertice when grouping a part and have it act like this, remain behind when the rest moved. mike

I found an easy way of fixing it.....I found a piece of clothing with similar sleeves as mine and based my cr2 file off of that one.......and voila! it works =D
