I'm tired ot trying to figure out this digital bullsh*t All I've got are a few books ( who knows how accurate ) that say what I said. I don't know If they are correct, I just liked the principle..It mad sense to me... oh well, back to the fine prints I make... I dont care how I get them.. I am just glad to know that I can get them on a regular, repeatable basis. food for thought is filling.......

Huh? Was there a contest I didn't know about? You're post was fine and it got a lot of people talking and thinking .....I think all of us are trying to figure it out because after all, those of us who are serious about our photography would like to take the best photo we can. The theory you presented makes sense, but then so does zhounder's..... shrug I'm glad you presented your idea here it's got people talking...bringing the forum back to life....(was kind of quiet for a bit). So keep posting OK...

I am, therefore I create.......

Hey, don't let the nPLUS turn into a nMINUS....I'm no fan of digital bullsh*t either, so you're not alone when it comes to that stuff ;)

whoe! Hold on there Nellie! No contest here. We are both right and we both win! The points I made are technical and logical. However someone made the point of compresion with JPEG formats and that I believe to be the difference here. With JPEG compression the smaller difference in the difference of color will make the images smaller and sharper to a point. The fact is that it is the software that makes these changes. I could go into how compression works but I think I have bored y'all with enough techno stuff for now. nplus, keep proposing these things, it keeps me thinking and that is the key to staying happy and healthy, excersizing the mind! I still thinks it depends on the camera and the size of the picture. =:-) How's that for a PC answer. Bsteph
